About Jayme

Thanks for being here.

Here is a little about me. As a visual designer for the last 8 years, I have gotten to help over fifteen for-profits and nonprofits improve their marketing collateral across digital, print, and web platforms.

Prior to my freelance experience, I worked as Creative Director for nonprofit Restore NYC, increasing awareness for the problem of sex trafficking in the US. Working closely with the development team, I got to facilitate the design of all external communication organization-wide from large annual fundraisers to re-designs of our website and email marketing visuals.

Outside of design, I can be found live music at little venues or embroidering at coffee shops. My cat, Douglas, and I reside in Brooklyn, NY.

Meaning behind the logo

A letter from Jayme

Being from the midwest, Native American culture preceded the ground I grew up on. In Native American symbolism (namely the Sioux Nation) seeing a bluejay against a blue sky indicated a “double vision” or double clarity. This visual/spiritual “blue on blue” concept speaks of purity of the soul, truth of the heart, and clarity of thought.

Not only would I like to dedicate my work to encompassing the above, but I also like that two birds flying together represents collaboration as well, and therefore not "flying solo" in projects, life, etc.

I look forward to creating alongside you.

Cheers,

Jayme
