Branding identity design across platforms, ranging from web to print.

Jayme Markus is an American graphic designer who has created for clients such as the Tribeca Film Institute, Capital Group, University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill and the Novus Summit at the United Nations.

Her company, Bluejay Branding Co., is Markus' design studio based in Milwaukee, WI.

She is the founder of the Freedom Fibers, an embroidery shop that fights sex trafficking by supporting nonprofit, Restore NYC.

Outside of designing, you can find her seeking out live music, chilling with her cat (Doug), and visiting her mom’s coffee shop.

Behind the logo

Being from the midwest, Native American culture preceded the ground I grew up on. In Native American symbolism (namely the Sioux Nation) seeing a bluejay against a blue sky indicated a “double vision” or double clarity. This visual/spiritual “blue on blue” concept speaks of purity of the soul, truth of the heart, and clarity of thought.

Not only would I like to dedicate my work to encompassing the above, but I also like that two birds flying together represents collaboration as well, and therefore not "flying solo" in projects, life, etc.

I look forward to creating alongside you.
